29 April 2010: Morning lecture “Pantomime”: Homework for this lecture was to think of four kinds of food and move like them. The structure of the lecture was the same as usual, and in the small groups we had to present our prepared homework performance. After that each team voted for their best group performer who then had to present it in front of the whole class. Then the groups went together again, everyone reflected on today's lecture and told his team what we have learned today. Since our homework was moving like different kinds of food the aim was considering the motion and paste of things of different physical condtions, for example sticky, liquid or firm things.
In the afternoon we presented the changes of "My Story" again. My first attempt of writing a short story was about my departure to Australia and saying good bye to my family. Apart from my story being quite long the feedback was quite positive. Yet, since I pictured the story consisting of quite a lot of stills, I wrote another short story idea which I imagined more suitable for animating and conforming to the requirement of involving emotion for “My Story”. It was about car crash and almost losing a member of the family. However Mori-Sensei preferred my original story as the second one was too dark and sad.
