The brief and lecture outline of the modules 2D Animation "My Story" and Pantomime

22th April 2010: The second lecture of the module "My story" and beginning of Pantomime

Pantmime module duration: Each Thursday morning we will have 3 hours of pantomime for which we need to attend in sports clothing. The module started today 22th April 2010 and will end on 3rd June 2010

Pantomime lecture structure: The beginning constists of some aerobic like warm-up and streching. After this our pantomime tutor demonstrates some pantomime actions which then are copied by the students. Then the students go together in groups of 4 to 5 people and present to eachother what they learned out of each lecture.

Every Thursday afternoon is about presenting our ideas for a short animation under the topic "My Story".


The brief: We are supposed to write a short story about ourself and our family about a special or important moment of our lives in which we can express a lot of feelings and emotion. Every student produces his own individual animation, no team work. At this stage (due to Japanese-English language difficulties) the only information we had was to write a short story. Yet we kind of assumed that every student will make a short animation of his story.


Lecture outline: Each student has to read out his story to the class and then receives feedback of our Tutor Mori-Sensei. He gives us advice about the length, content, but also accentuation, presentation and use of our voice, so we can prepare and develop our story for the next lecture. Most lectures on Thursdays end with watching a short animation.
