The making of the puppet

After all the different wires have been soldered together and the feet have been prepared this is how the finished skeleton looks. On the front of the feet there is a cork cap so we can put pins through them to attach the puppet to the settings floor later. For the head we used paperclay on a polystrene base.

Actually the sponge should have been died before we start to cut out the different body parts. Homework for the last lecture (11 May 2010) was to buy sponge and die it in the preferred colour. Yet, just buying the material was already quite confusing as there are only few shops to which we have to get the train and the shop assistents don't really speak English. So since we didn't know what kind of colours to use or where to buy them, we had to die the seperate parts afterwards. Homework for the next lecture on 18 May 2010 is to finish the puppet.
